Private Pilot License (PPL)

Ever dream of getting a pilot license? This is where most pilots start. The private license allows a pilot to carry multiple passengers, and earn other ratings, such as night rating, instrument rating, multi-engine, etc. MFC training has developed this training through decades of flight training to ensure it’s one of the most cost effective and efficient programs available in Canada.

Requirements

Candidates must be 17 years of age for the issuance of a Private Pilot License; however they may begin at the age of 14.

The candidate will also be required to have completed a Category 3 medical approved by Transport Canada.

Program Description

The main advantage of the Private Pilot license over the Recreational is the ability to upgrade.

This license will allow you to fly with more than one passenger and will let you attach ratings to your license, which means you could do additional training to fly at night or even fly multi-engine aircraft.

Duration of the flight-training portion of this course is 3-4 months depending on the weather and availability of the student.

Flight times listed are based on Transport Canada minimums of 45 hours.  Average times can be in the 60 hour range.  Please contact us for a more personalized estimate.

There are a lot of specialized operations out there flying in fascinating, remote parts of the world; doing interesting things with air planes. I love what I do for a living; really... It has been, and still is an incredible adventure! And I certainly won't ever forget that it all started in Moncton.
